Feeds to Follow #9
Here are this month's five Insta-picks to follow, from my favorite hair stylist's art studio to a fashion research heaven.
I truly consider the 1400+ feeds I follow on Instagram a highly curated pack of people that inspire me on the daily basis. And I openly confess that I might spend way too much time on browsing my feed, but even if it seems to be a form of leisure, it’s 90% work-connected! And well, I love beautiful things that please my eyes and intriguing people that stimulate my mind, both IRL and digital. So, I decided to start sharing with you from time to time my favorite accounts I follow and which you might also fancy following. Here are this month’s six picks:
I love, love, love following Julien d’Ys: the legendary head stylist who famously cut - chopped! - Linda Evangelista’s hair and made her an even bigger star. But not many people know that Pierrick Le Verge (his real name) is also a brilliant painter. Whenever he posts a moment from his Parisian studio or shares a bit from one of his journals (with polaroids of models backstage at Irving Penn shoots or Comme Des Garçons shows), I’m transfixed. To me, Julien embodies the “artist” I - from time to time - aspire to be.

Next up: Women’s History Museum. It’s both a vintage shop (selling the wildest Chantal Thomas feather jackets and Vivienne Westwood crotchet gloves from winter 1994 fashion show) and a fashion brand with haute-deconstructivist vibe, based in New York. This is the ultimate place for stylists to pull looks for shoots. Must-follow for research purposes!
