(In case you’ve missed it, here’s my Dream Gift Guide featuring my beloved Polish brands: part I and part II!)
100 ml of pure heaven. I’m talking about Little Flower, the perfume made in collaboration between Régime des Fleurs, the fragrance label founded in Los Angeles by Alia Raza, and Chloë Sevigny, the film and fashion icon. Little Flower is Régime des Fleurs’ provocative take on Sevigny’s favorite bloom – the rose. It’s dewy, romantic and fleshy, with a woody musk finish. Other notes consist of black tea, Bleeding Heart (it’s actually a flower name, but then… who knows?), blackcurrant bud, peony, palo santo incense, pomelo, honeysuckle and a precious Ottoman rose absolute. Dream.
Btw, if you haven’t listened to it yet, check out “Heaven Scent”, a song by Soulwax voiced by Chloë herself. Euphoric.
The way Bode has some of the most amazing accessories this festive season is crazy! Let’s focus on these 1950s-inspired Tiny Star gloves, tiger tie cap and flapper-style openwork hat. All very The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (ahh, I miss this show). Love, love, love.
Alix Verley-Pietrafesa, inspired by the mid-century Bohemians of Paris and the Bloomsbury Group, picked up a needle and began making clothes by hand. Seeking to create pieces which reflected the free-spirited muses of her studies and facilitated adventure, Alix of Bohemia was born. Crafted from textured cotton, this embellished jacket is hand-embroidered with multi-colored mirrors along the sleeves and has the hand feel of a Moroccan Handira blanket. So chic!
Mexican-born Sara Beltrán says growing up in the Texan desert influenced her deep love for the ocean, a recurring inspiration throughout her celebrated career as a jewelry designer and a motif that is imprinted into her label, Dezso. Her offering incorporates elements from New York, Mexico and India, a country she lived in for three years and which she now visits routinely to stimulate her creativity. Each piece in her eclectic collection is selected by her and reworked by experienced artisans, with favorite stones including diamonds, blue tiger’s eye and obsidian. Take a look at this fish-shaped coral charm or the sillimanite earrings.
I’m obsessed lately with the grooviness of Pardo Hats. Each headwear undergoes a dedicated 10 to 50 hours to perfect every detail, underscoring the brand's commitment to the value of slow fashion. It’s hard to decide between the knitted crotchet hat in brown and red.
